Grab your fedoras, bullwhips and snake repellent before setting off on your adventure to places uncharted. Who knows what dangers, trials or treasures await intrepid adventurers in this Dukes of Highland Megagame.

Explore ancient civilizations lost to the ages, collect artefacts more powerful than you could possible imagine or just derail your competitors to become the most renowned archaeologist alive!

Just remember that whatever you do find in the wilds of Louisville...

IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!

What does the game look like?

Players will take on the roles of: Archaeologists, Researchers, Antiquarians and heads of museums as they struggle to collect artefacts from around the world, delving into deeper mysteries in the process. Expect: Dice rolling, mini game madness, character driven goals, diplomacy (involving all kinds of lies), quick decision making and resource management.

The explorer teams (3 players per team)

The Idealists

Based on Indiana Jones and associated friends. Believe artifacts belong in museums and out of the hands of those who would use them for evil purposes.

The League

Based on Indiana’s rivals from Raiders of the lost Ark - German explorers and British antiques dealers believing that treasure hunting will bring them money and power.

The Old Guard

Based on old fashioned British aristocratic explorers who believe everything is theirs by rights and miss the old days of archaeology without ethics.

The Private Interests

A group-of-circumstance, anonymous private-interest individuals with old money.

The Minnows

A group of Australian explorers trained by special forces to take on assignments no-one else is willing to do.

The Polar Explorers

Explorers well known for journeying into the Polar regions (sometimes referred to as the Arctic Crazies).

The Aquatic Explorers

Based on characters from the ‘The Life Aquatic’ who are in turn based on the oceanographer Jacque Cousteau.

The Ethical explorers club

More modern spin on archaeology where its members believe in giving artefacts back to the country of origin.

The Travelers

A team of Japanese adventurers, come together to help Japan become a player on the exploration world stage.

The Tomb Raiders

Based on a mix of characters from the Tomb raider series and real-life explorers out to prove themselves to the world.

The Museum teams (mostly 2 players per team)

Bavarian Museum

Heavily influenced by the government although both characters are anti fascism.

British Museum of Natural History

Have a strong Nature/biology artefact focus.

Smithsonian Museum

Have a strong war artefact focus and heavily influenced by the government.

Cairo Museum

Attempting to bring back Egyptian artefacts back to Egypt.

Imperial Museums of Japan

(3 player team)

Interested in collecting Asian artefacts for the Glory of Japan, to be split across its two smaller museums.

And naturally we have a press team - who else is going to brave swamps and deserts to tell the world what these so-called “explorers” are up to?
